What makes our shop so Premier?

Customer Service

Our team is here to answer your phone calls and return calls promptly for scheduling your pet’s appointments, confirming appointments, letting you know when your pet is ready for pick up and to answer any questions you might have. Our mission at Ardmore Grooming Station is to do our best to go ‘above and beyond’ to provide professional, courteous and friendly customer service so that you and your pet leave happy after each visit.

Low-Stress Social Environment

Customers love the low-stress, crate-free spa environment at Ardmore Grooming Station and the quick turn-around on grooming services. Your pet will receive grooming services at the time of your appointment, or close to it, with complete follow through – no start and stop grooming at our shop. The pets love the socialization of being with one another and while they can’t tell us, we're pretty sure they really appreciate not being placed in a crate during their visit with us.

 Pet Stylists

Most importantly, our pet stylists are truly some of the best to be found. Their client following speaks for itself. Not only are they super talented groomers with years of experience – each having been named "Best Groomer" on the Main Line and two of whom are former veterinary technicians, but they also have a genuine love and respect for their trade and for the pets they have the pleasure of getting to spend time with every day. We know the challenges of finding a professional pet groomer you will want to continue to use. Once you bring your pet to Ardmore Grooming Station, you won’t want to go anywhere else!

Special Needs Pets and Grooming

All of our pets are special. That goes without saying. It’s just that some are more special in that they might have physical challenges, such as their back or front legs are weak or they have joint pain or arthritis, an amputated limb or nerve damage….or, they might suffer from anxiety or emotional-related conditions. Another feature that makes Ardmore Grooming Station so unique is that our pet stylists are experienced in grooming pets with special needs and will go above and beyond to make your pet’s visit a good one.

Sometimes the animals are a bit uncomfortable out of their own surroundings, we understand that and work with them to increase their comfort. It may just mean letting them down off the grooming table for a few minutes to stretch or take a break or it may mean letting them hang on their own, separate from other pets visiting. Sometimes it requires special music to relax them or the groomers talking to them throughout the process. Whatever it might be, you can be assured that our team is in tune with the pets they groom…so you can relax…they are in good hands!

Our Furry Friends

Our Policies

Pets we groom should be up-to-date on shots and vaccines. If you’re a new client, please make sure to bring a copy of your pet’s health record for his/her file.

Please make sure to let us know about any health conditions or concerns – medical, physical and emotional - your pet might have, so our groomers are aware and can ensure proper care. For instance, it’s important to let us know if your pet has an injured or weak limb(s), hip or joint issues, skin allergies, ear infections, moles and warts, tumors, recent surgery, excessive anxiety, etc. We will not perform any grooming services that cause any pain or a level of stress our groomers feel could be excessive.

If our groomers notice a concern or changes in your pet’s health condition, they will be sure to bring this to your attention.

Should your pet need de-matting: Please note: de-matting can be a long and physically demanding process for both your pet and the groomer. For this reason, we recommend that pets with lots of fur see our groomers more frequently than 2 or 3 times per year. If the matts are extensive, our groomers will discuss with you how to best handle. Should your pet need a short clipping, our groomers will always ask your permission before doing so.

If your pet exhibits excessive stress or aggressive behavior during grooming services, it will be brought to the pet owner’s attention. It is the groomer’s discretion whether or not to complete grooming services, should your pet become overly stressed or aggressive, to ensure both their and your pet’s safety.

Our client’s pets love the freedom and socialization of our crate-free grooming boutique. With two spacious grooming sections, we have the luxury of spreading the dogs out, separating the big dogs from the little dogs. Should you prefer your dog not interact with other dogs, please let us know and we will accommodate. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our first priority.

So that we can do our best to provide a low-stress, crate-free environment for your pet's grooming experience, we ask that you PLEASE return to pick up your pet when we call you to let you know your pet's ready. Because we are a crate-free environment, we can not operate as a "Doggy Day Care." Clients will be charged accordingly if their pet(s) is not picked up in a timely manner.

Top Ten Reasons Why it costs More to Get Your Pet Groomed Than Your own Hair Cut!

10.  Your hairdresser doesn’t wash and clean your rear end.

9.  You don’t go 8 weeks or even 6 months without washing or brushing your hair.

8.  Your hairdresser does not give you a sanitary trim nor express your anal glands.

7.  Your hairdresser doesn’t clean your ears.

6.  Your hairdresser does not remove the boogies from your eyes.

5.  You sit still for your hairdresser

4.  Your haircut does not include a manicure or pedicure.

3.  Your hairdresser only washes and cuts the hair on your head and won’t shave your belly.

2.  You don’t bite or scratch your hairdresser.

1.  The likelihood of you pooping or peeing on your hairdresser is pretty slim.
